Stephanie

Stephanie has spent the last 10 years devoting a large portion of her time to local shelters in Manitowoc County. From bottle feeding kittens and puppies, to fostering nursing mothers with puppies, to caring for kittens with ring worm, to grooming our local shelter dogs; she has a huge passion for helping animals in need and providing them with the most gentle humane care possible.

She worked at Petco as a dog trainer and companion animal specialist. After having her son, she began grooming at Pet Nirvana. Early Childhood was no longer Stephanie’s passion, rather, she wanted to pursue a life long career helping animals. She turned that dream into a reality when she purchased Pet Nirvana, which is now know as Lucky Paws Pet Boutique.

She specializes in the more difficult cases whether it be more aggressive dogs or just pets that are scared of human touch and need to learn to trust humans – it warms her heart being able to see their transition. She has also recently started taking care of senior hospice dogs.

Megan

Megan’s always had a love and passion for animals but this only grew stronger when she began her first job, working for an alpaca farm, while in high school.

After falling in love with a very special alpaca named Opportunity, Megan knew that her specific purpose in life was to love and care for animals.

In December of 2020, Megan graduated from UW-River Falls with a Bachelor’s Degree in Animal Science with a Companion Animal Emphasis. After completing an internship in college, Zoology became a new passion.

Megan worked for the Manitowoc Lincoln Park Zoo for many years, volunteering while attending school and working for other facilities. Her favorite animals to work with were the Mountain Lions, the American Bison, and of course, the Alpacas!

Megan began working for Lucky Paws in 2022 after her dog, Moo Moo, started attending daycare! You’ll often find Megan working the front desk, spending time with our boarding dogs, or playing out back with our daycare friends! Her favorite part about the job is being able to greet everyone that walks into Lucky Paws with a smile! She also loves caring for all of the boarding animals that spend their “vacations” with us. Her goal is to make sure that they are happy, healthy, and to feel like Lucky Paws is their home away from home! Megan feels so “lucky” and blessed to be apart of the Lucky Paws family!

ARIEL

Owner and Operator of Mischief Managment

I’m Ariel and pictured here is Mara (blonde) and Jane (black). Jane is the girl who sparked mydesire to become a dog trainer. My fiancé and I adopted her in 2018 from a shelter in Colorado. While working through her extreme reactivity towards other dogs I realized how much I loved learning everything about behavior.

I have been working with shelter dogs on a volunteer basis since 2007, am a graduate of Animal Behavior College, a Certified Family Dog Mediator, and completed The Michael Shikashio Aggression in Dogs Master Course.

I know how challenging it can be to live with a dog that has behaviors that limit your freedomand make you feel on edge, so this year I decided to start Mischief Management with the goal tohelp people build stronger and more peaceful relationships with their dogs. My persistentpersonality welcomes a good challenge!

amy

Amy has loved animals and surrounded herself with them all her life. She was the child growing up who brought everything home and asked if she could keep it. While growing to love all animals she especially gravitated towards dogs. She immersed herself in everything that involved them, including volunteering as soon as she could at her local animal shelter. She also worked at multiple doggy daycares before eventually turning her passion into a career when she went on to pursue veterinary technology. In 2020, she began her grooming journey at Paragon School of Pet Grooming. She learned many new skills and grew as a dog groomer while attending school and graduated in October 2020. She joined the Lucky Paws team in March of 2023 and loves working with clients of the “fluffy” variety and if you can’t catch her there you can catch her hanging out with her best friend Roo.

Jolynn

Jolynn has been an active member of our team since January 2022. You can typically find Jolynn’s smiling face behind the front desk, doing laundry, or cleaning the shop. Jolynn has always had a love for animals. She currently has 2 cats and 2 dogs. When one of our frequent boarding dogs owner passed away Jolynn happily stepped up to give Leo a home!

jeremy

Jeremy made the move to Lucky Paws in 2020, after leaving H&H. He said it was the best decision he made in a long time.

He’s the front desk coordinator and groomer-in-training.

Don’t let that big beard fool you, Jeremy is an absolute sweet heart. He loves working with animals (even the tough ones) and is proud to be a part of the Lucky Paws family.

I love Lucky Paws. their staff is the best and has always been so great with my dogs. I buy treats and toys there frequently and they always have a great selection. I would never take my dogs anywhere else!
